about

Notes for a fantastic atlas. A tour of the world through musical images.
Shots assembled with the pretense of inventing formulas for a new musical/cultural world. Instead a series of sound landscapes always evolving. Visions.

The imaginary folk of an imaginary world where all the cultures can live side by side on the same level and respect, without flat them as on the TV screen. Le Bala Et La Mouche is antithetical to the Television language where all is mixed up and has, apparently, the same value. PAOLO MODUGNO maintains and underline the specificity of the various sounds, keeping them in the purest form. A speech of poetic music.

Many different musical genres can be tracked in this recording: from the Musique Concrete to Minimalism, from the Fourth World Music to the World Music, by the I-Ching chance game of John Cage till the experiences of Progressive Rock, Trance and Ambient. But all this is comes after the actual result, a music very charming and moving.
